Our Medical team is a compassionate group of people who work together in some innovative ways to provide the best health care possible, with an integration of our Medical, Behavioral Health, and Dental departments whenever possible.
At our Round Mountain location we have one MD., two Physician Assistants (PAs),two Family Nurse Practitioners (FNPs), and a Podiatrist who comes to our medical clinic once a month. We also have a Chiropractor here two afternoons/week, as well as Behavioral Health and Dental staff who are part of our integrated service teams and who may see you during your medical visits for consultations or children’s dental check-ins.
At our Redding location, our Medical Department staff includes one MD. and two Family Nurse Practitioners, and a Behavioral Health Consultant. Our chiropractor is here two mornings/week.
IMPORTANT THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT OUR CLINICS
First – we really want to offer prompt care, but we are not Walk-In facilities. If you are an existing patient we may be able to see you on short notice, but maybe not. If you are a new patient it is almost certain that we will not be able to see you on short notice. If your insurance company has assigned us as your primary care location, we will do our best to refer you to appropriate Walk-In/Urgent Care resources until we are able to see you. All new patients please call us at (530) 337-6243; existing patients for Redding can also call 241-4100 to get help.
Second – There is a shortage of primary care providers in Redding–indeed, in most of rural California and the United States! Our Redding location is small, and cannot accommodate all the patients who would like to be seen there. At that location, we can only see patients with MediCal (usually Partnership Health Plan) and/or Medicare. For patients with other insurance coverage (or no insurance), we do accept almost every other form of insurance at our Round Mountain facility.
Finally, if your children will be needing immunizations to get into day care or school, or if they will be needing sports or camp physicals, please call us as early as possible! These appointments require longer times and we have a limited number of these appointment available. If your child has MediCal or certain other types of insurance, these appointments cannot take place at a Walk-In clinic. We do not want your child to miss out on a great opportunity because there were no appointments available at the last minute!
Our goal is to provide you and your family with great comprehensive health care to improve and maintain good health throughout your life. Please call us at (530) 337-6243 if you have any questions, or to make an appointment at either of our medical clinics.

You may also want to download our “Chronic Pain: Philosophy and Process,”which addresses both medical and psychiatric issues. We believe in a comprehensive (and innovative!) approach to chronic pain management. For almost all new patients, it will take at least 1-3 months before we will consider prescribing opioid pain medications and most other controlled substance medications.
